Wolves, wolves and MORE! wolves

Hello! Welcome back to my blog. This post is about Wolves as you can see on the title ^-^. Anyways, their is a BIG variety of wolves! Dire wolves, Red wolves, Grey wolves, and the biggest one! TIMBER WOLF!! That's as many kinds of wolves as I can think of right now :|. Wolves have beautiful pelts! Grey, White, Black, Brown, Cream, even Orange. The power of a wolf: Wolves have excellent vision and a strong sense of smell for finding and tracking down prey. They have strong legs and lungs that help them chase prey for a long time. Wolf packs: Packs are like big family's of wolves that are made up of an adult pair (the parents) their young pups (pups are their puppies) and the older brother and sister, the parents lead the pack, their called the alphas, alpha means, leader, boss, ruler, for example. Hunting: The wolves in a pack also hunt together, by doing this they can catch prey much bigger than themselves (prey are moose, deer, and elk, elk are deer but bigger) a 1,300-pound moose is no match for a pack of six or eight, another example is: a 700-pound zebra is easily caught by a pack of 10 to 20 African wild dogs! Howling: You may think that wolves howl at the moon, they really don't, they howl when their lost from their pack or when they have caught prey. their howls send messages to the other ones of the pack for example: a wolf howls and it says "i'm lost where are you?" or "the pack has caught an elk, we're coming home!" Dens: Dens are homes or caves. Dens are perfect for a big wolf pack, it depends on the size, dens can be big, small, or perfect for the number of pack members. Loners: Loners are wolves that have no pack to live in. Packs are important to wolves, their good for protection,love, and a pack can take down big prey. A loner wolf is a wolf that is alone, it is hard for them to find a good meal, because one wolf alone cannot take down an elk or deer, they have to eat small prey like Rabbits,Squirrels and if their lucky they can find a BIG turkey. Their are so many wolves and they are interesting animals to watch. Fun facts: Red wolves don't have red fur! they actually have sorta orange fur! Some wolves are used to humans and live at zoos or wild life places, those places are protected so the animals don't get hunted!, because the only thing that hurts wolves are humans!, sometimes their hunted for their fur or for game, hunting for game means hunting for the fun of it! witch is bad! about the zoos and wild life areas: some wolves are used to humans and know their in good hands and are friendly! the people who take care of the wolves like to pet their fluffy beautiful soft pelts, and the wolves love back by licking the humans hands and rubbing against the legs of the person.
